Konathala Ramakrishna to join TDP,chandrabau naidu okays Konathala Ramakrishna,Bandaru Satyanarayana Murty,Ganta Srinivasa Rao unhappy with Konathala Ramakrishna
Chief Minister and TDP president Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly given green signal for the entry of former YSR Congress Party leader Konathala Ramakrishna into TDP.
Despite the objections from Visakha TDP MLAs Bandaru Satyanarayana Murty, Peela Govinda Satyanarayana and Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Chandrababu has decided to admit Konatala Ramakrishna into the party with a clear cut strategy.
After days of murmuring and protests by the three leaders opposing the entry of Konatala Ramakrishna, Chandrababu convinced them of the need to admit influential leaders of other parties into TDP in all regions of the state so that the party will not run out of candidates for the next elections. The number of assembly seats will go up to 225 from the present 175 for the next elections which will be held after a delimitation exercise.
"My aim is to ensure that other parties should run out of candidates to contest the next elections, " he reportedly told senior TDP leaders at a recent meeting.
Reports said some more MLAs of YSRCP are in touch with Chandrababu for jumping the wall and are only waiting for his green signal.
Chandrababu Naidu's second idea in taking other party leaders into his party fold is to downgrade BJP's aggression. BJP , which wants to grow independently in AP, is throwing bait to several YSRCP and Congress leaders who bit the dust in the last elections.
Chandrababu wants to ensure that no influential leaders of these parties would join BJP.
