Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his ministers failed to answer a query on the Patti Seema project raised by leader of the opposition Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy in the AP assembly on Tuesday.
Jagan Mohan Reddy sought to know from the Government how water would be supplied to Rayalaseema from the Patti Seema Project.
Reading out from a policy paper issued by the Government, Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the treasury benches to reveal how and where water would be stored to take it to Rayalaseema.
"How can you build the project without a storage point for the water? Why didn't you mention in your policy paper on linking rivers that water would be supplied to Rayalaseema?," he asked the government.
Instead of answering the important question, the treasury benches chose to criticise Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Chief Minister Chandrababu and his ministers raised the issue of a news story published on Polavaram project in Sakshi daily and sought apologies from Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Overall, Jagan Mohan Reddy failed to elicit an answer from the Government on his question. Opposing the Government's approach , YSRCP members protested in the Speaker's podium.
