AP, Telangana to discuss Eamcet arrangements in Hyderabad

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada which is conducting AP Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (Eamcet) 2015 will hold discussions with JNTU Hyderabad in a meeting to be held on April 27.
 
The two varsities  will discuss the arrangements for conducting AP Eamcet at Hyderabad including security measures. The second regional co-ordinators meeting will be held at APSCHE at Hyderabad April 27 with the Human Resources Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Secretary to Higher Education, AP Sumitha Dawra, Technical Edu-cation commissioner B.Udaya Lakshmi, APSCHE chairman L.Venu Gopala Reddy, AP Eamcet-2015 camp officer for admissions K. Raghunadh, Telangana Eamcet convenor GK Viswanath.
 
JNTUH incharge vice-chancellor N.V. Ramana Rao and others will participate in the meeting. The AP Eamcet convener Saibabu said that the candidates can download their hall tickets from May to 6 through the website www.apeamcet.org.
 
The candidates can submit their applications up to May 2 with a late of Rs 5, 000, upto May 6 with a late of Rs 10, 000. As many as 2,55,142 students applied for AP EAMCET till now, out of which 1,69,224 for engineering, 83,410 in agricultural and medical and 1254 for both streams. Saibabu said that there are 314 test centres in AP region and 17 in Hyderabad.
 
Totally 331 have been set up for engineering and 141 centres for agri and medical seats in AP region and 22 in Hyderabad region. Totally 163 centres have been set up for smooth functioning.
