Chandrababu Urges Governor to convene meeting with KCR
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday urged Governor E S L Narsimhan to convene a meeting of both the Chief Ministers to iron out contentious issues between AP and Telangana.
This meeting of Naidu gains importance as it comes two days after the Governor advised both the Chief Ministers to resolve the issues across the table. During his one-and-a- half hour meeting with the Governor, Naidu is understood to have expressed his displeasure over the attitude of TS government on sharing of Krishna waters.
He reportedly told the Governor that TS government was not allowing AP to draw its share of water from the dam to meet AP's legitimate requirements.
According to sources, during the lengthy meeting, the Chief Minister expressed his government's views on contentious issues such as sharing of river waters between AP and TS, and conduct of EAMCET.
