Hyderabad: A 24-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to the harassment for more dowry by her husband and in-laws.

According to Viqarabad police, the victim, K Bhagya Laxmi, took the extreme step on December 28 and succumbed at the Osmania General Hospital on Monday night. She was married to one Tirumalaiah, an agriculturist, about six years ago and they had two children. Tirumalaiah and his parents were allegedly harassing Laxmi for more dowry which consequently drove to suicide.

Viqarabad police have registered a case under Sections 498A and 306 of IPC and began investigations.
