Chennai: Former Tamil Nadu Agriculture Minister SS Krishnamoorthy was arrested on Saturday night by the Crime Brach-CID in connection with the suicide of a senior engineer in Tirunelveli on February 20.

According to sources, the slain engineer, S Muthukumarasamy was pressurised by Krishnamoorthy in connection with the recruitment of seven drivers.

The former minister was arrested after several hours of questioning.

According to sources, Muthukumarasamy had committed suicide by jumping in front of a train.
