Medical admissions,AP,Telangana,Andhra pradesh
Over 50,000 students who appeared for Andhra Pradesh’s PG entrance examination are awaiting admissions. The counseling that was to begin in April first week as per the Medical Council of India schedule was stopped by the TS government; the reason stated was that Telangana would conduct its own admissions.
According to the MIC rules, the counseling should be completed by May 31 with classes beginning from June 1.
However, concerns have arisen over Telangana conducting its own admissions, which will bring delay by two-three months due to the lack of functioning of the Telangana State Health University without the appointment of a VC and registrar.
Dr T. Ravi Raju, vice-chancellor, NTRUHS said that the PG admissions cannot be conducted unless both the AP and TS governments come to an agreement.
