As per the latest reports, ESL Narasimhan, the joint Governor of the Telugu states, is mulling over resigning from his Governor post after being deeply hurt by AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and several other TDP leaders' comments of dishonoring his powers and favoring Telangana CM KCR. However, the Governor seemed to have stepped back after centre's intervention.
Recently, Babu and several TDP leaders alleged that Governor is causing injustice to Andhra Pradesh and is showing partiality towards KCR and his government in the wake of the cash for vote scandal and phone tapping row. Much to his relief, certain bigwigs in the centre assured him of centre's support and encouraged him to proceed with the investigations as per law.
After receiving the letter from the Governor briefing about the current political situation in the Telugu states, the centre suggested the Governor to carry out all the necessary inquiries and that it will involve if at all the situation is blown out of the proportion by both the warring chief ministers and their over enthusiastic cabinet leaders.
Apparently, the centre promised its support to Narasimhan after the Home Ministry received his resignation letter and enquired about the ongoing political turmoil in the Telugu states through the Intelligence Bureau.
