HC adjourns hearing on Revanth Reddy's bail petition

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court has adjourned the hearing on bail petition of TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy in cash-for-vote case to June 24. After hearing the bail petition on Wednesday, the High Court directed the Anti-Corruption Bureau to file its counter and adjourned the hearing to June 24.

It may be mentioned here that Revanth Reddy was arrested on May 31 by the ACB when he allegedly tried to bribe nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to vote in favour of TDP candidate in MLC elections. The Special Court for ACB cases has sent Revanth Reddy and two other accused Rudra Udaysimha and Harry Sebastian to judicial remand till June 29. Presently, they are lodged in Cherlapally Central Prison.
