TDP firebrand Telangana MLA A Revanth Reddy got legal reprieve today with the High Court issuing a stay on the Nampally court procedures in the case against him for alleged remarks on the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

In his petition, Revanth Reddy sought the dismissal of the case in the lower court contending that he had not made any unparliamentary comments on the Telangana CM and that the case against him was politically motivated.

The high court has exempted him from personal appearance and also halted the proceedings of the lower court pending for a while. It may be recalled that a case of defamatory intentions and expletives on Telangana State CM was hoisted on the TDP MLA.
