A Special Operations Team (SOT) of Cyberabad police busted a prostitution racket and arrested six people at Vanasthalipuram LB Nagar.Acting on a tip-off, SOT sleuths raided a house in the wee hours of Sunday. Police found three women, aged between 21 and 25 years, indulging in obscene activities with three customers. Four women, two men and a junior artiste were held for prostitution.

The arrested customers are businessmen from various places in the city. Police seized Rs 41,910 cash, three cars and 3 cell phones from their possession. A case was booked against them under sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (PITA). The sex workers were shifted to a government rescue home.

The brothel was complained by few locality people who felt suspicious about the flat and informed police. The offenders likely to be produced before the court on Monday.These kind of incidents are being held in the recent times in the outskirts of Hyderabad. As the police intelligence is comparatively less in the areas of L.B.Nagar,Madhapur and Kukatpally, these areas became haven for the prostitution gangs.
