Nizamabad: MP K Kavitha on Tuesday launched the “Sansad Adarsh Grama Yojana” scheme at Kandakurthi village of Renjal mandal and said that she would develop Kandakurthi into a model village in the next two years. On the occasion, Kavitha inaugurated a mineral water plant at the village and explained about the historical significance of the village.  She said RSS founder Dr Hegdewar was born at Kandakurthi and the three holy rivers Godavari, Manjeera and Haridra join together at this village (Triveni Sangamam).

Kavitha said River Godavari enters Telangana State near the Kandakurthi village. Lakhs of pilgrims visit this village and take holy bath at ‘Triveni Sangamam’ during Pushkarams.  She informed that the State government was making all arrangements for the ensuing Godavari Pushkarams.
