Hyderabad: In a big boost to the Telangana Government's ambitious Water Grid Project , the world famous Korean water management company , K-Water has offered to partnership with the government by investing up to Rs. 12,000 Cr in water resource management projects in the state.
K-Water representatives called on the Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma and IT Minister KTR here and told them they are ready to invest in the project.
The experts of K-Water, a Korean Government-run water company with more than 40 years of experience in water resources utilization and management, said they were very much impressed with the Water Grid Project design and its implementation so far.
The K-Water will provide a funding of Rs. 3000 Cr for drinking water supply augmentation in Hyderabad by drawing water from Srisailam backwaters, Rs.3500 Cr for laying pipelines and supply of drinking water along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in the city and Rs.6000 Cr to the Water Grid Project directly.
