Hyderabad: Information technology minister K. T. Rama Rao, currently on a two-week US tour, has sought support from NRIs for Telangana government achieving its goal of “Bangaru Telangana”.
He urged them to serve as goodwill ambassadors of Telangana and promote the state among the global investors community. The TS delegation led by Mr Rama Rao signed a MoU with Mr Viv Penninti, chairman of Inrythm Inc, Pittsburg.
The IT ministry has been keen on growth segments like data analytics to give a fillip to job creation for engineers in the region. This initiative creates an ecosystem of leading academia, institutions and businesses to target the opportunity of data analytics. Mr Rao said, “Hyderabad has already established itself as a destination of choice for IT and we want to take the sector to the next level by targeting hi-growth segments. We want to support hubs of excellence in sunrise sectors that could utilise talent in the region and foster jobs.”
Mr Rao also visited Alpha labs Gear, an incubator in Pittsburgh which is a member based chain shops and the path breaking Tech Shop. “The experience and the great ideas of the incubator can be emulated back home for our ambitious T-hub project,” the minister said.
