AP Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has crossed swords with Krishna district collector over his style of functioning. While Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu spent most of his time in conducting prolonged meetings, conferences, (video and tele) his ministers resent the same, it has emerged.

Giving a new twist to the controversy over Krishna District Collector Babu the Minister directed his department officials to stop attending weekly video conference convened by the Collector. Supporting a section of officials who complained that they were subjected to excessive work pressure due to prolonged video conference the Minister has said they need not go collector's meetings.

Addressing the officials at the Zilla Parishad General Body meeting, he stated that no head of the department should waste his/her time by turning up at the weekly video conference convened by the Collector or the Joint Collector.
