Communist Party of India Marxist MLA Sunnam Rajaiah had a bitter experience at Secretariat on Thursday with security personnel not allowing him to enter inside the premises. The peeved legislator stated that he would complain to State Assembly Speaker Madhusudhana Chary about the ill-treatment meted out to him. Unlike colleagues from other parties who travel in high-end SUVs, Rajaiah came to Secretariat by an auto along with a companion.

He had an appointment with CM Special Secretary Bhoopal Reddy regarding government assistance to an youngster from his constituency.However, the security personnel at the main entrance did not recognise him and hence stopped him.  Even though he showed an identity card, police constables were not in a mood to listen. They stated that MLAs usually come in cars, along with their gunmen, which was not the case with Rajaiah and hence he would not be allowed inside.

However, senior police officials came to the rescue of the legislator and allowed him inside. Rajaiah raised a complaint with Chief Security Officer and asked him to take action against the constables who sort of insulted him.The MLA stated that he would bring the issue to the notice of the Speaker to ensure such sort of incidents do not recur in future.
