The sessions court here today reserved order on the anticipatory bail application filed by directors and employee of a firm for denying job to the Muslim youth Zeeshan Khan on the ground of religion.
Directors of Hare Krishna Exports Bhaskar Joshi, Mahindra Deshmukh, Ghanshyam Dholakiya and Hasmukh Dholakiya and HR trainee Dipika Tike have approached the court seeking anticipatory bail, claiming that the allegation is false and several Muslims work in the firm.
Khan's laywer, on the other hand, contended today that his client's fundamental right was violated by the company's action.
Advocate Khalid Azmi, Khan's lawyer, told the court that if granted pre-arrest bail to the accused, it would encourage similar acts of discrimination.
Khan, who had applied for an opening in the company on May 19, received a response saying that the company's policy was to hire only non-Muslims.
