AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu ordered officials to wrap up the works related to 15,000 km of National Highways (which include all the lanes - one, two & four) in the state within a year. "Roads could be laid using any of the models like BOT (Build, Operate, Transfer), PPP (Public Private Partnership) and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction). If required, Consider adopting Madhya Pradesh's model," he said, during a meeting with officials of Roads & Buildings, and NHAI.

Naidu particularly mentioned about the Kurnool-Guntur national highway and Anantapur-Tadipatri link road in the meeting. He asked the officials to get them ready at the earliest.

Chief Minister advised Roads & Buildings Officials to keep a check of accident-prone areas and avoid sudden turns, huge bumps and impediments. He was informed by Transport Minister Siddha Raghava Rao about the purchase of 5 new machine for laying of roads in the state at fast pace.
