Nara Lokesh Meets Texas Governor
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s son Lokesh during his final leg of tour across the US on Tuesday called on Texas Governor Greg Abbott and briefed him on the new industrial policy of the State.
He also explained to Greg Abbott about the Single Desk System, recently set up by the State government, through which the government gives all permissions to new industries within 21 days.
The young politico requested the governor to convince American business people to invest in Andhra Pradesh.
According to TDP leader LVSRK Prasad, impressed by the way Lokesh explained about the opportunities available for US investors in AP, Greg Abbott said that he would soon send a delegation from Texas to AP to study the possibility of setting up new industries in the reorganised State.
On the final day of his 10-day visit to the US, aimed at promoting the “Smart Villages/Wards- Smart AP” programme among Non-Resident Telugus, Lokesh held several meetings with NRIs and tried to persuade them to adopt one village each in the State to develop the respective village as a ‘smart village’.
