Hyderabad will get Airtel 4G services by the end of May. While the Telecom major Bharti Airtel will begin 4G services trial in Chennai from May 14 1800 Mhz band following which, the services will be available to Mumbai and Hyderabad.

According to the sources, the company’s network in Hyderabad to launch FDD LTE (4G) is ready and the trails are expected to begin in May and TDD LTE (4G) in 2300 Mhz band will be provided for Mumbai in the same month.

At present, Bharti Airtel 4G services are being offered in 19 cities across the country - Kolkata, Pune, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali. Earlier in March, Bharti Airtel Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal stated that the company intends to double its 4G network with installation of 20,000 more sites in addition to 20,000 sites already present for 4G service.
