Poll compulsions force Congress to take Jagdish Tytler help
New Delhi: The Delhi Congress, which has a Herculean task in front of it to compete with the BJP and the AAP, is counting on the development work that took place during the rule of the Sheila Dikshit government, to woo voters.
The Congress, which is going through its toughest phase nationwide, is trying its level best to make visible the development work that took place during its rule.
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Arvinder Singh Lovely is trying hard to bring back the lost glory of the party.
The Congress is more worried about the AAP as its vote-bank, which does not want to support the saffron brigade, might opt for the party that stirred Indian politics.
On Thursday, Ms Dikshit created a stir by saying that the Congress may support the Aam Aadmi Party in case of a hung verdict in the Assembly elections. The reaction of Ms Dikshit was not taken well by the party leadership.
The party will also aggressively highlight the alleged false promises of the AAP and the BJP.
Congress leaders will be raising the issue of electricity and water crisis. The party also went back to its senior and seasoned leaders to fight the Modi wave and the AAP.
The party have decided to involve its senior leaders to make a comeback in Delhi. Senior, but controversial, leaders like Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler have been asked to help the DPCC in making a mark in the coming elections.
The Congress, after facing defeats in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Haryana, is trying everything to come to power in Delhi.
