Even after coming to power also it is strange that TDP continues to have a ban on Sakshi media. Latest we hear is that for the TDP Mahanadu the media committee of the event got high command orders to ban entry of Sakshi media. In fact the media house was banned even for government related programmes too but when Press Council found fault with the attitude of the party, they had to unwillingly allow Sakshi later on only for the government official programmes.

Now even though journalist groups find it wrong to stop a media house, TDP has been hell bent on its ban over Sakshi. The journalist associations are of the opinion that such a selective ban is not only non-democratic but also severe on press freedom. IJU leader Srinivasa Reddy appealed that TDP think tanks should reconsider their ban on Sakshi at Mahanadu. But will TDP really do that?
