Hyderabad: Telangana State BJP president G Kishan Reddy on Monday demanded the TRS government solve problems of striking Electricity and RTC employees’ on war-footing by holding talks with the respective unions.
In a press note, Kishan Reddy stated that the people in the State were suffering severely due to the strikes by Electricity and RTC employees. Alleging that power supply was being interrupted frequently due to the strike by electricity employees, he stated the poor and middle class people were facing hardships due to RTC strike.
He felt the employees went on strike because of the government’s failure in fulfilling the assurances made in the past. The BJP leader demanded Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao immediately concede to the just demands of the employees of these two departments.
He said it was not proper on KCR’s part to oust contract and outsourced employees’ though he had promised to regularise their services after achieving Telangana State. He also said it was unfortunate that the Chief Minister, who had assured the employees of salaries on par with Central government salaries and assured to assist the RTC in all aspects, made them to go on strike.
