Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party MLA KP Vivekananda, on Tuesday, demanded the State government to grant grace marks for the SSC students who failed in Mathematics and Science papers.

Speaking to the media persons here, Vivek said thousands of students could not clear Mathematics and Science papers due to new syllabi and methodology. He said even teachers were not fully familiar with the CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation) methodology.
He further clarified that although he does not oppose CCE, introduction of new method in the midst of academic year caused great confusion among the students and teachers.
Therefore, he appealed to the State government to grant grace marks to the students who failed in the said subjects to save their academic year. Further, all the mistakes identified in the new syllabi should be rectified before conducing supplementary exams, he demanded.
