Hyderabad: The TS government on Wednesday presented its first full-fledged Budget to the Legislative Assembly with a total outlay of Rs 1.15 lakh crore with prime focus on welfare of weaker sections, development of industries, agriculture and employment generation.
It also vowed that Hyderabad will have the best global practices in economy, ecology and equity soon, besides one lakh CCTV cameras to ensure safety.
According to the socio-economic outlook of the Telangana government — “Reinventing Telangana- the first steps,” the government spelt out various measures taken, including preparation of a vision document to make Hyderabad a ‘global city’.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority will prepare the vision document and work is in the tendering stage.
The government also decided to integrate all five notified master plans and zoning regulations of the Hyderabad metropolitan region.
The transformation of Hyderabad will depend on convergence of several factors. It is the aim of the government to facilitate this process through proactive policy initiatives,” the report says.
