Whip and Chief Whips are appointed to give counter to the opposition party remarks against the government. They issued Whips in some urgent issues when ever voting required passing the bills in the Assembly. They responded for any allegations on Government quickly and safeguard the government.

 It seems that the situation is different in Telanagana. Koppula Eshwar was appointed as Chief Whip where as Nallala Odelu, Gampa Govardhan and Sunitha were appointed as Whips to the Telangana assembly. There was lot of political drama in selection of Whips and Chief Whips of Telangana in TRS.

Koppula Eshwar was not showed much interest to take the charge as Chief Whip. After the meeting with Chief Minister Koppula was took the charge as Chief Whip in the Assembly. Gampa Govardhan who also pinned many hopes as Minister unwillingly accepted the position of Whip in the Assembly.

After taking the oath all three leaders were confined to their assembly constituencies. They were not appeared before the media till now. KTR and Harish Rao counters for TDP and Congress allegations against TRS Government. Young MLA Guvvala Balaraju sometimes appears to condemn the charges against TRS.
