Warangal: Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya has advised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao not to engage in cheap politics for the sake of winning elections. Addressing press persons in Hanamkonda on Wednesday, Dattatreya objected to the CM’s remarks that the BJP-led Central government was not granting projects and funds for Telangana development. “The Centre is pro-active in granting projects and funds, but the State is not coming forward to take the help,” he said.
Dattatreya advises KCR not to resort to cheap politics for electoral gains
Reiterates that Centre is strongly committed to development of State
The Centre has agreed to set up a steel plant in Warangal, a 500 MW solar power plant in Mahabubnagar, Railway wagon factory in Kazipet and All India Institute of Medical Sciences in the state, he said. He was here to campaign for party Graduate MLC candidate Errabelli Rammohan Rao.
Dattatreya opined that the MLC election results would certainly reflect on the nine-month rule of the TRS government, and appealed to the graduates to vote for the BJP candidates. There is a need for a strong opposition to put a check to anti-people policies of the State government and to get more funds from the Centre, he observed.
Later in the day, the Union Minister toured several mandals, campaigning along with local party leaders, and asked the voters not to vote for exploitative forces. “Elect the BJP nominees, who are known for their integrity”, he appealed. District president A Ashok Reddy, former MLAs T Rajeswar Rao, M Dharma Rao, Vannala Sriramulu, S Jalil, senior leader Ch Janga Reddy, G Premender Reddy and others were present.
