Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), Khammam region is busy gearing up to cash in on the passenger rush in view of the upcoming Sankranti festival as many people flock their home towns on the occasion.

According to sources, the TSRTC, Khammam region will run as many as 200 special buses to clear the rush of Sankranti festival in the district.  Special buses are being operated from Friday and will continue till January 13 evening. For return journey of the commuters, special buses will be operated from January 16 to 18.

TSRTC transported as many as 30,000 commuters during the Sankranti festival in 2014 and this time they are expecting over 50,000 commuters. As per the demand, RTC has proposed to ply double the number of buses.
