Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya met Governor Narsimhan today over the audio tapes in the cash-for-vote issue. Both discussed the issue for about half an hour. In the wake of of the phone tapping issue taking a serious turn, with the chief ministers of the two Telugu States allegedly involved, the Centre is watching the developments keenly. The Governor is likely to report to the Centre on this issue.
