The Banjara traffic police said 250 cases were registered by conducting a drive on both sides of the road. Similarly, in Jubilee Hills the drive was conducted at Road No. 45, and 122 cases were registered. Majority of the motorists caught were driving high-end luxury cars at high speed.
The special drive was taken up using speed guns and it was done between 12.30 pm and 4 pm and the traffic police nabbed those motorists who were travelling above 60 kilometres per hour.
During the drive, the Union minister's son and a relative of a former minister of the united AP government were issued challans, which the motorists have to pay online.
