From Today, apart from 108, people can also call 100, the Vizag Police Control Room as the City Police would also double up as doctors to the accident victims. The police teams would also carry first aid boxes with in their Rakshak and patrolling vans and would offer preliminary aid to the accident victims, before they are taken to hospitals. The Vizag Police Commissioner Amit Garg will get his policemen trained in giving the first aid in highly emergency cases.

Whenever deadly accidents take place, most victims lose their lives even before they are rushed to hospitals due to lack of first aid and preliminary care on their way to hospitals within one hour of the accident. To prevent the loss of lives, nearly 122 Traffic and Rakshak vans have been equipped with the first aid boxes with 17 emergency medical tools.

As a part of their medical training, the Vizag Police will get trained by the Care Hospitals, which will also supply the medical kits and first aid boxes. The city police commissioner Amit Garg has unveiled the first aid boxes and introduced this appreciable plan this morning.
