Hyderabad: The TRS government is busy giving final touches to its first budget to be introduced in budget session of Assembly set to begin from September 10. The government sources have said that the budget outlay would be in the range of Rs 85,000 to 90,000 crores.
Finance Department, for the past few weeks, is engrossed in compiling data received from various departments. Steps are being taken to give allocations in the budget to implement all the 43 decisions taken in Cabinet meeting held in July.
The revenue and expenditure components are evaluated to set plan and non-plan expenditures Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao himself chaired a meeting two days ago with heads of various departments and sought their views on the budget. It is widely expected that a major chunk of allocations would be given to agriculture, irrigation and welfare. Allocation would also be made to buy power from other states to overcome the power crisis in the State. Sources surmised that irrigation sector is likely to secure Rs 6500 crore and Panchayat Raj Rs 4, 500 crore allocation.
