Hyderabad: A 30-year-old woman along with her nine-month-old daughter jumped ​to death ​from the fifth floor of Sai Pearl Residency building in Chandanagar ​here ​on Monday.

The woman​,​ identified as Swathi​, was the wife of Pradeep Kumar and the couple ​had two children. Police said the woman was depressed ​after her daughter, Sanvi, ​developed a serious ​​illness.

“She committed suicide. As her daughter was suffering from ​a health ailment, she jumped along with her​. Both mother and child died on the spot,” police said.

Chandanagar police ​have ​booked a case and ​are ​investigating.
