Superstar Mahesh Babu's 1: Nenokkadine, which has been directed by Sukumar, is one of the most-talked about and highly-anticipated Telugu movies. The promos of the film have created lot of curiosity among the viewers. Having released in theatres today, the movie is much more than what has been expected from it. Made on par with Hollywood standards, this film is sure to become a landmark film in Prince's career.
The movie 1: Nenokkadine is a psychological thriller and it is high on action quotient. Mahesh Babu's electrifying performance is the main highlight in the film. Sukumar's engrossing screenplay and emotionally-charged dialogues, Devi Sri Prasad's songs and background score, R Rathnavelu's amazing camera work, brilliantly-choreographed action and chases scenes, Kriti Sanon's glamour and exotic locales are other big attractions in the film. The dragging narration in the second half and lack of entertainment quotient are its big drawbacks.

To stay away from the media Gautham leaves to Goa, but Sameera follows to test him according to psychologist Surya. But continuous murder attempts on both Gautham and Sameera makes him realize the fact that goons are not following him but Sameera. How will Gautham get over his flashy flash backs? Will Gautham continue saving Sameera from the goons in goa forms the rest of the storyline.
Performances:
Mahesh Babu is very stylish in his new look. Mahesh did well in his limitations. He is perfect in the emotional scenes. He excelled a lot in the action sequences. He dances like a dream and carries out his stunts in style. There's nothing backing him here; neither a strong point nor a script, and yet he gives it his all. Debutant Kriti Sanon is good in this film. But her characterization is not poetic and she looks very normal.
Pradeep Rawat hasn’t got much to do. Kelly is unimpressive in his extended cameo. Posani has hardly anything to do as driver Gulab Singh. Nassar impresses in his role. Anu Haasan is okay in her cameo. Sophie Choudry looks tired and lacks the oomph of an item girl. The others in the cast too are not bad, though nobody delivers a performance worth mentioning.
Technical Departments:
The director has come up with a complicated storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was not that absorbing. The dialogues were alright. The script was average and the screenplay was quite elongated. The background score was melodious but songs were not that great. Cinematography was the main strength to this film. Editing was required at many places.
Costumes were well stylishly designed to suit the royalty while the art department was majestic. Mahesh Babu didn’t have scope to really show his performance and he looks quite shrunk. Kriti Sanon is an absolute beauty and she was sexy and expressive. Nasser was natural. Pradeep Rawat was brief. Posani made his presence felt. Kelly Dorjee was good. Sayaji Shinde was okay. Gautham Krishna looked cute. Others didn’t have much scope.

Analysis:
The film has all the ingredients you'd expect in a thriller, but without the hard-hitting thrills it fails to make audience sit through the end. Cinematography, First Half fight sequences and DSP’s background score are all in tune with the mood of the film. But there still is something lacking that makes the film a dragged one.
That something perhaps concerns the pace of the film or its setting and packaging. Be that as it may, director Sukumar and his team must be appreciated for having ventured to make a rather different kind of a movie with a very striking end. For fans of
the Bourne-Bond type of thrillers, 1 Nenokkadine may seem a disappointment, except perhaps for the Interval, which has been worked out rather well. For the rest of the audience its one time watch for Mahesh Babu’s performance.
Final Word: Watch it for Mahesh Babu and Kriti Sanon
