Ace writer Kona Venkat has been planning to make a comeback as director since a very long time. He wanted to direct a big star to announce his return as a director. He met few superstars and tried his luck but everyone was busy with prior commitments.

Kona Venkat once said that his ‘soul mate’ Pawan Kalyan has shown interest to act under his direction. He also added that he is preparing a superb subject for Powerstar. That was long ago and Pawan Kalyan is too busy with politics and production plans now.

Kona Venkat dropped the idea of doing a big film and decided to make a low budget film with Nikhil, who has been in very good form of late. Nikhil’s latest film Surya vs Surya released on this Friday and he is yet to sign up his next.

Directors Sudheer Varma and Chandoo Mondeti want to do another film with Nikhil but that may take some time as they are busy with other projects.

Kona Venkat recently met Nikhil and gave a brief narration of his story. Nikhil will take a call on it after he returns back from US, where he is going to do an acting course.
