The concept of star worship is prevalent in India since the inception of cinema and for some reason, it is extremely high in the south because certain stars are treated like demigods. One among them is power star Pawan Kalyan. The interesting part about Pawan is, it is not just the people but even Tollywood members who worship him.

But there is always a line which must not be crossed and that seems to have been violated. Apparently, Pawan and his image is being used extravagantly without any control. This is not able to create that buzz like before. Stuff like Pawanism song, dialogues on Pawan and imitating him have become very common.

Showing Pawan's film posters in movies has become more like a norm. They are thinking this will do the trick but the fundamental is, it would only get few claps and nothing more. In order to get the real success, the content is important and without that nothing will work. Let us hope at least now that reality dawns on our filmmakers and they give Pawan Kalyan a break.
