Mani Ratnam is considered as one of the finest filmmakers in our country. Throughout the years, he has delivered some cult films like 'Nayakan', 'Dalapathi' and 'Sakhi' etc.

Most of his films are based on a very thin line and Mani Ratnam himself has said on numerous occasions that he believes a lot in the presentation more than the scripts. Speaking about the same, popular Tamil Vairamuthu said, "Mani sir has got a special formula. He believes that filmmakers should be able to convey their storyline within 3 minutes. He followed this formula right from his first film to 'Ok Kanmani'".

After the debacle of 'Kadal', Mani Ratnam took his time to start new film 'Ok Kanmani'. This film is dubbed into Telugu as 'Ok Bangaram' and both the versions will be having simultaneous releases.

Nithya Menen and Dulquer Salman are the lead pair AR Rahman has composed the music. PC Sreeram has handled the lens and Dil Raju is presenting the film in Telugu.
