After playing Vijay's sister in Jilla, Nivetha Thomas is now set to act as Kamal Haasan's daughter in the Tamil remake of Drishyam, which is reportedly titled Papanasam. The actress will be playing the eldest daughter whose predicament sets the plot of the film in motion. Ansiba Hassan had played the role in the Malayalam version.

Says a source, "Nivetha was actually supposed to act in the original Drishyam, but she could not take up the project as she had exams at that time. However, director Jeethu Joseph, who is a good friend of the family, approached her again now for the Tamil version and the actress has committed to it."

We learn the actress was also part of a photo shoot that was done for the movie with the lead cast a couple of days ago.
