A youth by name Manikanta, who met with an accident was admitted to NRI Hospital in Mangalgiri of Guntur district today. The doctors when reported him as 'brain dead', his family members agreed to donate the organs.

The NRI hospital doctors on contacting the doctors of Portin Hospital in chennai, decided to transport the heart and lungs of Manikanta. The organs would be transported to Gannavaram airport from Mangalgiri today afternoon at 2:00 pm and then to Chennai airport in a special flight.

The police therefore has set up a green corridor from Mangalgiri to Gannavaram airport.
