A discussion on Telangana Budget for 2015-16 will be carried out in the Assembly today. The discussion will be lasting for 8 days.

A motion relating to the appointment of Committee members and Chairman to the 3 committees -Public Accounts Committee, Committee of Estimates and Committee of Public sector companies will be presented in the Assembly.

The issues relating to  Godavari Puskaralu, Construction of Godowns, Government lands, Auction of Govt Buildings, hyderabad clubs, Cyber crimes are reported to be discussed in the Assembly today during question hour.

Continuing its focus on welfare of weaker sections and development of agriculture and industries, Telangana Government on Wednesday unveiled Budget for 2015-16 with a total outlay of Rs.1,15,689 crore.

“It is not just a collection of numbers, but an expression of our values and aspirations,” Finance Minister Etela Rajender said about the revenue surplus budget that also pegs the fiscal deficit at Rs.16,969 crore. As a percentage of the GSDP, the fiscal deficit will be 3.49 per cent.
