After amassing nearly 350 crores worldwide, Baahubali is all set to enter the 400 crore club very soon. The film has already broken all the existing records in Tollywood and even in Tamil, and it is now taking on top Bollywood grossers. However, Baahubali's dream run has been shattered by Salman's Eid release, Bajarangi Bhaijaan.
Released in close to 5,000 screens, Bajarangi Bhaijaan grossed a monstrous 220.10 crore worldwide in just five days. On the other hand, Baahubali, in its 5-day run, collected nearly 215 crores, losing out to Salman's film by a very small margin. Even the first week collections of both the films maintain a stiff competition, as Baahubali earned 180 crores including all the versions, while Bajarangi Bhaijaan is at 165 crores in just 6 days.
However, or its still a matter of pride for Tollywood since never in the history, film lovers across the country are talking about a south Indian film (Telugu, in particular) in comparison with a Bollywood biggie. Baahubali made this possible and movie lovers from south have been proud of the film's historic success.
