After spending a good time watching the opening match of the IPL 2015 at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday, Disha Ganguly, a popular TV actress from Kolkata committed suicide in her apartments on Thursday evening. The police are investigating the case and are suspecting that the actress committed suicide on Wednesday night itself.

On Wednesday night, Disha was at the Eden Gardens to watch the inaugural match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians along with her boyfriend Vivaan, also a TV actor. Soon after the match, they both went to his home to meet his mother and Disha left for her home from there. When Vivaan called on her the next day, Disha did not respond and he immediately informed the police.

The police broke the doors open only to find Disha hanging from the ceiling fan and immediately sent her body for examination. No suicide note has been recovered but the cops have found her phone and dairy for probe.

Disha, 23, was a famous for her acts in several hit Bengali TV series like Tumi Ashbe Bole and Kanakanjali. The actress was living with her parents, who are on a vacation in Nairobi, Kenya at the moment. The heartbroken parents are on their way to India.
