Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, a movie that is considered as the best ever romantic movie ever made on Indian silver screen is finally going to run its show in theatres. As you already know the surprising thing that DDLJ is being played continuously for nearly 20 years in a theatre in Mumbai, the run is going to end today.
Maratha Mandir, a theatre in Mumbai, is screening DDLJ for the morning show at 11.30 am since the film's original release in 1995. Recently last December the theatre management confirmed that they are soon drawing out the film from theatre forever. The film completes 1009 uninterrupted weeks with today€™s morning show and from tomorrow, there is no DDLJ to watch in theatres.
Directed by Aditya Chopra, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge is an all time blockbuster and a longest running film in the history of Indian cinema. The film has Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles, and won 10 Filmfare awards and National Award for Best Film as well.
