One of Tollywood's top producers, Dil Raju, is in a fix now. While the film S/O Satyamurthy, which he distributed in Nizam is struggling to register good numbers to breakeven, the producer is seemingly bothered by his upcoming release OK Bangaram. The film is releasing on 17th and Dil Raju is reportedly in doldrums since it will clash with S/O Satyamurthy.
As per the trade buzz, Dil Raju invested more than 14 crores on S/O Satyamurthy to promote the film and release it in Nizam area. The film, after opening big, is slowly dipping down in terms of collections, thanks to mixed reviews and average word of mouth. Being a shrewd producer he is, Dil Raju didn't want to jeopardize his film's collections and quickly flew to Chennai to meet Mani Ratnam, the maker of OK Bangaram.
Apparently, Dil Raju requested Mani Ratnam to postpone the film at least by 1 week so that he can completely recover his investment on S/O Satyamurthy. However, it is still not sure if Mani Ratnam has obliged to his request, since even the Tamil summer season is jam packed with releases of several big budget films. From Chennai, Dil Raju left for Tirupathi and had a VIP darshan of Lord Balaji. Let us hope that the lord will ease the pressures off our hotshot producer.
