As the losses incurred to them are not getting repaid by either producer Rockline Venkatesh or Superstar Rajnikanth, few Tamil distributors are getting ready to go on a hunger strike on January 10 at Valluvar Kottam, Chennai.
We all know that Rajnikanth's latest movie 'Lingaa' failed to evince interest among cine lovers as it has fallen flat on day one itself. The film failed to rake in moolah at the box office, and incurred almost 60% losses for distributors at all places. When these distributors met Rajni, they are assured that Christmas and New Year holidays will help pick up the collections. But no miracle has happened and movie theatres are buzzing with empty seats.
We hear that distributors from Trichy-Tanjore region have released a note indicating that they will go on hunger strike from 10th if their losses are not repaid. For the first time in history, Rajnikanth is facing such an embarrassment from the distributors and buyers.
