Actress Shruti Haasan, the elder daughter of actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan and actress Sarika, says her father is not scared of trying something new. "I think my mother is very strong and independent. As far as my father is concerned, he is very honest and not scared of anyone. As an actor, he is not scared of trying something new," said Shruti in Mumbai.

She added, "In terms of acting, my mom is spontaneous while papa is a natural actor." Meanwhile, the actress is also proud of her sister Akshara who made her debut with 2015 released film ‘Shamitabh’. "I am very proud of her. She is very different and unique and is smart also,” she said.
