Despite breaking into the 50 crore club within a week's time, Sardaar Gabbar Singh will still be considered as a disaster by the trade, thanks to the exorbitant price it was sold for.
SGS has had an earth shattering opening on its day 1 but the collections dropped in the following days owing to its bad talk. Sardaar is next only to Baahubali and Srimanthudu in terms of first week numbers. It is likely to add few more crores to its overall tally until Sarrainodu strikes the screens. Sardaar Gabbar Singh has already set a record for a disaster movie by collecting Rs. 50 crores.
It is hard to imagine how much Sardaar would have collected if it was received well by the audience as it has collected this much with disastrous reports. This proves the star power of Power star. It would have done wonders even with an average talk. This is certainly a great opportunity gone wasted.
