Tollywood Film Fraternities from all the 24 departments of Telugu film industry have put hands togather for 'Memu Saitam', a fund raising carnival for the aid of Vizag #HudHud Cyclone victims.

The event that took place for over 12 hours, continuously on Sunday was a huge hit. Gemini Telivision has aired it live for the whole day and achieved huge TRP's shutting other vie channels like ZeeTelugu, MaaTV, ETV and others. Leaving no stone unturned, Memu Saitam has stood second in social networking sites, especially Twitter.

Stars like, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Chiranjeevi, Mohanbabu along with daughter Lakashmi and sons Vishnu and Manoj, Nithin, Akhil, Samantha, Mahesh Babu, NTR, Nagarjuna, Shriya and others have actively participated and thoroughly entertained the audiences.

Lead by the leading anchors Jhansi and Suma, event started with the Memu Saitam Anthem composed by 'Koti' followed by traditional Vande Mataram dance performance by Shriya Saran. Nandamuri Balakrishna has sung a couple of songs from his films and is supported by singers Kaushalya and Malavika.

One day Memu Saitam event also includes many dance and song performances by leading actors and singers from Telugu cinema. Behind this Star Kabaddi and Cricket matches were held in Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium with good humour and team spirit.

Kabaddi lead by Manchu brothers Manoj and Vishnu was judged by their father Mohan Babu as referee. Manoj's team has won the match.

Among the four cricket teams of Venkatesh, Nagarjuna [Akhil], NTR and Ram Charan, Akhil's team has won the Trophy. Rakul Preet Singh, Tejaswi Madiwada, Veda, Archana had their contibution in star Cricket.

As part of the fund raising event, Memu Saitam had huge donations of Rs.11,51,56,116 Cr worth including Tamil actor Vijay-5 Lakhs, Radhika-2.5 Lakhs, Sarathkumar-2 Lakhs and their Nadigar Sangam- 5 Lakhs.

Memu Saitam unit has handed over Rs.11,51,56,116 Cr to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu towards the end of the event and he promised he would contribute the same amount from his side too.

Performances by Brahmanandam, Baba Sehgal, Balakrishna, Harish Shankar, Allu Arjun-Devi Sri, Baahubali Team, Raashi Khanna-Kalyani Mallik, Smitha along with star Antyakshari between star teams Venkatesh-Chiranjeevi, Jayasudha-Jayaprada, Jeevitha-Sumalatha and Rajasekhar-Srikanth are highly entertaining.

After all, the unity of Telugu cinema is once again proved and their coming together for the welfare of their fans and united contribution for the well being of society is laudable...
