One of the all-time best directors of Tollywood, K Raghavendra Rao was honoured by the AP state's government. K Raghavendra Rao was chosen one of the members of the secretarial body of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam( TTD)

The director visited Tirumala to offer prayers to god and he appeared with tonsured head.KRR addressing media said  that being elected as the board member of TTD was lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamys' gift to him for making the movie Annamayya.

He said he would treat this offer more as a opportunity to serve the God rather than an official post. KRR said he would do his best to develop the TTD and added that he would be at the service of every person.
