Loving rich people can make one lucky, said Malla Reddy, Member of Parliament from Malkajgiri and Chairman of CMR Group during the during CMR college’s Annual Day ceremony recently, taking a dig at Ram Charan.
Addressing the college students, Reddy spoke about how love and more precisely loving rich people can make people lucky. The speech turned controversial when he took names of celebrities like Ram Charan, Aishwarya Rai and Sonia Gandhi and said they became lucky after getting married to rich people.
He further went on to say that Ram Charan, son of Mega Star Chiranjeevi trapped the granddaughter of Dr Prathap C. Reddy, founder-chairman of Apollo Hospitals. He even used the word ‘Jackpot’ hinting at the money he got. This however, didn’t go well with the Mega fans.
Despite Malla Reddy's alleged comments, Ram Charan was the chief guest in CMR college’s Annual day. While addressing as many as 7000 students, Ram said that love, family, education and career are a part of life. He also went on to say that he and Upasana are in love and didn’t bother about each others' wealth.
